I have always had a passion for photography but until three years ago I did not have the courage to really pursue it. Everyone kept telling me why I should not do it and I listened to them. But my heart kept telling me different.
Then I met my wedding photographer and felt for the first time in my life that I had the strength to do it. I gathered courage and booked myself on a first photography tuition, followed by many more. I started to do what I love to do on my own, stopped paying attention to everyone that kept telling to be sensible. I started to create, push boundaries, grow. It’s brought me so much happiness and fulfillment I stopped conforming to mainstream expectations and realized how precious it is to follow your own path and be unique. It’s been a hard journey as well and I have doubted myself a lot along the way and I still do, but I understand that the only way to be an inspiration to others is to do things differently.
If you have a passion and it’s hidden in the back of your mind and you feel you cannot do it as you have to be sensible, forget conformity for once and start doing what you love to do. If you are passionate enough, nothing will stop you.
